is an editor with extensive experience in various film and video productions. She learned to edit at the age of 14 during summer camp on Final Cut Pro, and has been cutting on AVID, Premiere, Davinci Resolve, and other platforms ever since.
Last year, Emily edited Land of Gold, which premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival. Formerly with Courageous Studios at WarnerMedia, Emily has edited many award-winning projects, most recently including a video series for Invesco — a 2020 Webby honoree. Her work with journalist Liz Plank for Vox Media, the web series “Divided States of Women”, was nominated for a Webby in 2018 for social justice activism. In 2017, the Human x Design campaign for Courageous Studios she worked on won a Cannes Silver Lion — the same year the short film Lemon, which premiered at Tribeca, screened at Cannes as part of Sunscreen Film Festival.
Most recently, Emily worked on the HBO Max documentary Love, Lizzo (2022). She holds an MA in History and Literature from Columbia University, completing her thesis on politically coded masculinities in Jean Renoir’s Toni (1935) in 2018. Previously, she graduated with a BA in Film and French from Vassar College, where she presented her thesis on Katharine Hepburn, Bette Davis, and feminist star studies.
Emily speaks English, French, and Mandarin, and lives in London. She is a BFE and BAFTA Connect member.
